Human Teams — QANTA 2026

Play in QANTA 2026 — the first quiz bowl competition to include multimodal questions. You’ll answer pyramid-style tossups where some clues are images alongside text. Team up with an AI agent and compete against other human–AI pairs, solo humans, and AI-only systems.

Format

• Multimodal tossups: questions include both text and image clues
• Human–AI pairs: you play alongside an AI teammate that sees the same clues you do and offers answers and confidence estimates
• Real-time play: buzz in when you’re confident; earlier correct answers score more
• In-person and online tracks: compete at University of Maryland or remotely

• Quiz bowl players with tournament experience
• Trivia enthusiasts with broad knowledge including visual arts, science, geography, and history — categories where image clues will be common
• Anyone interested in human–AI collaboration experiments
